- Vritti partners with State Transport corporations in Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Goa in a campaign from June 1- 10
- Vritti volunteers to encourage passengers to donate a plastic and get a sapling in return, as a symbol of gratitude
- Messages for protecting the environment and specifically, avoiding the use and litter of plastic at public places to be played on Passenger Info Systems (PIS) through Audiowala Bus Stand in these bus stations
Mumbai, 7th June, 2022: To celebrate the World Environment Day, Vritti iMedia, a leading mass media arm of Vritti Solutions partnered with State Transport Corporations across seven states of India to spread environment awareness through a 360 Degree Marketing Campaign at more than 500 bus stations.
Vritti iMedia chose bus stations as a place for spreading awareness because-
- Most of the times we see bus stations are dirty because we always see plastic wrappers, bottles, bags littered
- Small towns and rural regions are getting affected by unfriendly environmental practices at a rapid pace
- Educating the people of small towns and rural regions so that they can protect their beautiful destinations
- Bus station is a place where masses are present and hence, the best spot to create awareness
In a 2 day BTL campaign, Vritti volunteers encouraged the passengers to assemble plastic and donate them. In return, they were gifted with a sapling, as a symbol of gratitude from Mother Earth.
To support the BTL campaign, audio messages focusing on sustainability and avoiding the use of plastics on bus stations were played on the digital Passenger Information System (PIS) in between arrival and departure announcements, in the native languages of the states at the bus stations so that they can establish an emotional connect with the audience.
The campaign was organized in semi-urban and rural bus stations of Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Goa (Shirdi, Jalandhar, Ambala, Hospet, Jaipur, Mandi and Panaji- all these bus stations are heavily crowded and have a need of awareness). Vritti iMedia made use of its unique mass media property, Audiowala Bus Stand, which is the country’s largest Digital Audio Network to play the awareness messages via appealing jingles, which were played from June 1-June 10.
Moreover, we created environment awareness by conducting a digital campaign (June 1- June 10)- making impactful posts, videos- external as well as internal and running an Awareness campaign on social media.
“This is a 360 degree marketing and awareness initiative from Vritti family, to commemorate the World Environment Day. Audiowala Bus Stand being entirely digital, uses limited power and saves paper. In a majority of our campaigns, we prefer to work closely with the Governmentor Government bodies, helping them create an infrastructure, which serves the public and society at large. Hence, all our campaigns have a good Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) flavour to them. ESG is and shall always be a key differentiating factor in all our campaigns,” said Mr. Rajesh Radhakrishnan, Founder-Director & CMO, Vritti iMedia.
Vritti iMedia named this campaign as, ‘#KyaAapSunnRaheHo? (#AreYouListening?) Prakruti ‘Meri’ Zimedaari’. #AreYouListening? is derived from our product, Audiowala Bus Stand, wherein the core focus is always on listening. In our campaign, we are pointing towards listening to the pain of the nature. Prakruti ‘Meri’ Zimedaari is driven from the thought that ‘Change begins from myself’. It is ‘My’ responsibility to take care of the nature.
Audiowala Bus Stand is considered to be the most effective and affordable mass media (at the cost of just one paise per person) for creating awareness and has the potential to reach 400 million people every month.
